Before We Turn the Page: What I’m Leaving Behind

Before we turn the page, I want to pause … just for a moment and acknowledge what I’m ready to set down.

Not because it was wrong.

Not because it didn’t shape me.

But because this season showed me what no longer needs to be carried forward.

Some things belong to who we were and not who we’re becoming.

I’m leaving behind the pressure to keep up. With timelines that were never mine. With expectations that felt heavy instead of aligned.

I’m leaving behind the need to explain my choices. Growth doesn’t always make sense from the outside. And it doesn’t need to.

I’m leaving behind guilt for slowing down. For resting. For choosing presence over productivity.

I’m leaving behind the belief that clarity must come before action. Sometimes the next step appears only after we move.

I’m leaving behind urgency that doesn’t belong to me. Not every season needs to be rushed. Not every decision needs to be made quickly. This has been a huge lesson for me this year.

What I’m carrying forward instead feels lighter but stronger.

More trust in myself. More space for what matters. More peace in moving at the pace this season requires.

Before we turn the page, this is my quiet reminder:

I don’t need to bring everything with me into what’s next.

Some things are meant to be released, not resolved. Leaving space is an act of self-respect. What I set down and leave in 2025 matters just as much as what I carry forward.
