Tree Treasures No. 25: Disney Magic, French Style

Disney Paris Christmas ornaments

Dave and I have been blessed to visit Disneyland Paris twice, and both trips hold such special memories for us.

The first time was in 2016, when we were vacationing in London and took the train to Paris. The second time was in 2018 during another Paris adventure. Two very different trips, same unmistakable feeling of magic.

Disneyland in Anaheim will always be our home park. We’ve been so many times over the years that we’ve honestly lost count. It’s the kind of place where we know exactly where every bathroom is without even thinking about it.

Disneyland Paris feels different. It’s smaller, the layout isn’t etched into our brains, and yes… we still laugh that we don’t know where all the bathrooms are by heart. But we love it just the same.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing Disney through a slightly different lens. The castle feels more old world, the details feel layered with history, and the memories feel tied to travel, adventure, and doing life together in new places.

And the bonus? Both times we were there, it was already the holidays in the park. Christmas magic in Paris just hits differently. When you’re freezing and not wearing shorts. 😂

If you could visit any Disney park during the holidays, which one would you choose and why?

If you enjoy nostalgic holiday stories, I’m also sharing my Christmas memories in a new series called Christmas Stories Throughout the Years.
